All our current and upcoming events have been moved to our new community platform – Eco Communications.
As part of our Carbon Footprint project, we are considering how we can more effectively communicate and support our participants. We decided to use one called Mighty Network . Don’t worry though, we aren’t mass moving everything over.
But why are we Making the Change?
- Facebook doesn’t care about what posts/content/events you see – they just want you to spend as long as possible scrolling.
- There’s no focus – and no discernible progress. We are all commenting into the void, hoping that somebody might hear us.
- Commenting on Facebook is not the same thing as taking real, positive action on the issues you care about.
- Facebook’s ethics are questionable at best, as is the way your data is used and sold by them.
- Facebook doesn’t allow us to come together organically, share resources and help one another.
- Not everybody uses Facebook or social media, many are spending less time on them every year.
On our platform there are no adverts.
