Eco Partnerships

Eco Communities wouldn’t exist today without the dedication, support, and loyalty of a number of businesses, organisations, charities, and projects. We share passions, beliefs, and goals with each one of our eco partnerships and we’re sure you will too!

Our Eco Partnerships

Meet our community of eco partners; the groups and businesses who have supported us and contributed to our projects and events.

Surfers Against Sewage

Surfers Against Sewage work exceptionally hard to reduce pollution in our oceans. This includes organising the nationwide Plastic Free campaign — a project we are incredibly passionate about.

Friends of the Earth (FoE)

Eco Communities was actually born out of a local Chester Friends of the Earth group. FoE is a worldwide organisation aimed at protecting the planet from climate change.

Cheshire West and Chester Council

We work extremely closely with our local council, Cheshire West and Chester, who support us in the organisation of many of our events and ensure they are fun, environmentally friendly, and safe for all attendees.

Chester Zoo

One of the best zoos in the world. Chester Zoo constantly shows their commitment to the planet in everything they do. You can often see Chester Zoo running stalls and talks at our events and fairs. Keep an eye out!

The Land Trust

Based in Cheshire, The Land Trust owns and manages a number of parks, nature reserves, and woodlands — all in the name of protection and to the benefit of local communities and wildlife.

The Mersey Forest

The Mersey Forest initiative is focused on making Merseyside and North Cheshire as green as possible by creating ‘woodlands on your doorstep’, providing a place for people and wildlife to thrive in harmony.

Keep Britain Tidy

Keep Britain Tidy is an organisation responsible for cutting litter out of our environments. Keep Britain Tidy and their community clean ups have contributed to over 1 million bags of waste being collected.

The Climate Coalition

The Climate Coalition is the UK’s largest collective of people committed to taking action against climate change. We are proud to be a part of their community and take part in Great Big Green Week every year.

Refill

Refill is a group dedicated to making access to refillable water as easy as possible, all in the name of reducing unnecessary plastic waste. We are supporters of Refill’s work and have our own Refill project, Refill Chester.

National Park City Foundation

The vision of the National Park City Foundation is to make better connected cities. National Park Cities are greener, healthier, and wilder, for local people and ecosystems.

ōH Design Foundation

ōH Chester Design Foundation is a social enterprise committed to supporting the growth and development of the city’s creative industries. Their objectives are to champion local talent, empower growth, and drive positive change — with a sustainable spin.

Incredible Edible Network

Incredible Edible are passionate about helping to build connected communities of like-minded people through the power of food — home grown food — and galvanising communities through local food.

Chester Great and Small

The mission of Chester Great and Small is to do whatever they can to make Chester the most livable city in Europe, as well as a vibrant hub of a dynamic, prosperous sub-region.
