Let’s make recycling easier together.
Blister packs — commonly used for medicines and supplements — are made from a mix of plastic and aluminium, which means they cannot be recycled through household kerbside collections. As a result, millions of blister packs are thrown away each year and end up in landfill or incineration.

Blister packs are widely used but rarely recycled, simply because most people don’t have access to specialist schemes. By offering a local drop-off point, we make it easier for residents to take positive action and reduce waste from everyday healthcare products.
This project supports Plastic Free Cheshire’s wider aim to reduce single-use plastics, increase access to reuse and recycling, and empower communities to take practical climate action.
Get Involved
You can support blister pack recycling by:
-
Recycling your own blister packs at a local drop-off point
-
Sharing information about the scheme with friends, family and neighbours
-
Helping us spread the word so more people know blister packs can be recycled
If you are a community group, pharmacy or organisation interested in becoming a collection point, please get in touch.
We have a reduced rate for boxes which can be purchased for £50 for a large box which collects X of blister packs – the box can then be collected by My Group when full once you have a replacement box from us.
