At Eco Communities, we’ve always believed that small changes can lead to big impact. That’s why we’re thrilled to announce our membership in the Party Kit Network a non-profit social enterprise helping communities across the UK celebrate more sustainably.
🌍 What Is the Party Kit Network?
The Party Kit Network was born from a simple but powerful idea: what if we could reduce waste at parties by sharing reusable tableware locally?
It all started in 2019 when Isabel Mack heard about Tillie’s initiative in Frome on Jen Gale’s Sustainable-ish podcast. Tillie had created a party kit—a box of reusable plates, cups, bowls, and bunting—that she lent out to neighbours. Inspired, Isabel discovered dozens of similar kits across the UK and realised the potential for a nationwide movement. Today, the network connects hundreds of kit owners, all working toward one goal: making celebrations kinder to the planet.
🥳 Why Eco Communities Joined
Joining the Party Kit Network was a natural next step for us. We’ve long offered reusable hire for community events, and expanding into party kits allows us to support families and local groups in a more personal way.
Our Party Kit includes:
- Children’s plates, cups, bowls, and cutlery
- Reusable bunting
- All the essentials for a zero-waste party
Currently, kits can be collected from Hoole, with a Winsford location coming soon. We kindly ask for donations to help maintain and expand the kit—every spoon and streamer helps!

Single-use items might 
seem convenient, but they come at a high environmental cost. Most disposable partyware is made from plastic or mixed materials that are difficult to recycle. After just a few hours of use, they end up in landfill or worse, littering our parks and waterways.
