SUMMARY:Chester Repair Cafe
DESCRIPTION:Chester Repair Café a project from Chester Friends of the Earth brings together skilled volunteers in a friendly\, accessible community environment (with cake!) to repair broken or damaged household items. \nPeople will have the opportunity to bring their items for repair and\, if they want\, to learn how to repair and maintain items themselves. \nThis helps our communities to breathe new life into household items which would otherwise end up in landfill\, incinerated or exported from our country. \nGood cake and a friendly atmosphere are essential\, and all our wonderful volunteers bring plenty of both! \nFuture Repair Café dates \n\nHoole Community Centre the 3rd Saturday of the month – 10.30am – 12.30pm\n\nFor more information about the venue\, including any accessibility enquiries\, please contact us at chesterrepaircafe@gmail.com. \n\n\n\nVolunteer repairers will be on hand for repairs on: \n\nBikes\nClothing and textiles\nTeddies and soft toys\nSmall electricals\nComputers\nWindows 10 end of life support – Windows 10 will stop being supported on 14 October\n\n\nIt’s recommended that you only bring one item at a time to the Repair Café\, because you will need to be with the repairer while the repair is being carried out. If a specific part is needed\, you may be required to purchase the part and bring it back to the Café (either during the session\, or the next one).

DESCRIPTION:Join the Eco Communities team\, local volunteers and residents in this community litter pick. We will meet Morrisons\, Upton  (on the far side of the car park next to Mill Lane) From there we will fan out around the local area and get picking! \nThe activity is family and dog friendly. We are more than dog friendly\, we actively encourage you to bring your pooches along. There are great public transport links nearby with two bus stops and Bache railway station. \nAll equipment is provided but please wear suitable clothing and footwear for the weather. \nFancy arranging you own litter pick? You are able to borrow litter picking equipment to carry out your own pick anytime\, there are litter pick hubs dotted around Chester – go to the Community Clean Ups & Litter Pick Hubs | Eco Communities (ecocommunitiesuk.com) website. \n
