DESCRIPTION:Chester Repair Café a project from Chester Friends of the Earth brings together skilled volunteers in a friendly\, accessible community environment (with cake!) to repair broken or damaged household items. \nPeople will have the opportunity to bring their items for repair and\, if they want\, to learn how to repair and maintain items themselves. \nThis helps our communities to breathe new life into household items which would otherwise end up in landfill\, incinerated or exported from our country. \nGood cake and a friendly atmosphere are essential\, and all our wonderful volunteers bring plenty of both! \nFuture Repair Café dates \n\nHoole Community Centre the 3rd Saturday of the month – 10.30am – 12.30pm\n\nFor more information about the venue\, including any accessibility enquiries\, please contact us at chesterrepaircafe@gmail.com. \n\n\n\nVolunteer repairers will be on hand for repairs on: \n\nBikes\nClothing and textiles\nTeddies and soft toys\nSmall electricals\nComputers\nWindows 10 end of life support – Windows 10 will stop being supported on 14 October\n\n\nIt’s recommended that you only bring one item at a time to the Repair Café\, because you will need to be with the repairer while the repair is being carried out. If a specific part is needed\, you may be required to purchase the part and bring it back to the Café (either during the session\, or the next one).

DESCRIPTION:Chester Repair Café a project from Chester Friends of the Earth brings together skilled volunteers in a friendly\, accessible community environment (with cake!) to repair broken or damaged household items. \nPeople will have the opportunity to bring their items for repair and\, if they want\, to learn how to repair and maintain items themselves. \nThis helps our communities to breathe new life into household items which would otherwise end up in landfill\, incinerated or exported from our country. \nGood cake and a friendly atmosphere are essential\, and all our wonderful volunteers bring plenty of both! \nFuture Repair Café dates \n\nHoole Community Centre the 3rd Saturday of the month – 10.30am – 12.30pm\n\nFor more information about the venue\, including any accessibility enquiries\, please contact us at chesterrepaircafe@gmail.com. \n\n\n\nVolunteer repairers will be on hand for repairs on: \n\nBikes\nClothing and textiles\nTeddies and soft toys\nSmall electricals\nComputers\nWindows 10 end of life support – Windows 10 will stop being supported on 14 October\n\n\nIt’s recommended that you only bring one item at a time to the Repair Café\, because you will need to be with the repairer while the repair is being carried out. If a specific part is needed\, you may be required to purchase the part and bring it back to the Café (either during the session\, or the next one).

DESCRIPTION:oH Collage is a Creative Workshop with the artist Suze Schneider\nThe workshop sessions are part of the ongoing commitment that oH is setting itself to provide for the local community. One of the oH pillars is to develop sustainable thinking about design and waste use\, which we believe\, when introduced at an early age\, will help us create good habits and a strong base for the circular economy driven by conscious users and designers. Our aim is also to merge design and art which will lead to a different perspective on the use of textile and textile waste\, hence the involvement of the artist Suze Schneider. \nThis workskop is free to attend thanks to sponsorship and will be a fantastic way to explore the circular economy. \n  \n
